GP Fast Freddy Markham Junior Devo Race on June 2

The return of the Gran Prix Fast Freddy Markham Junior Development Track Race will be on Sunday afternoon, June 2.

Fast Freddy was one of the dominant riders of his era.  Excelling at both road and track events, he was a multi-time medalist in National Championships, represented the United States at the World Championships, and was professional for several years.  He dominated the Breaking Away Friday Nights series at the Hellyer Velodcrome.

Registration opens at 1:00 pm, first race at 2:00 pm.

This race is a race to help prepare Junior riders for championship events. It is a
part of the 2019 Hellyer Junior Points Series (double points). The race will be at
the Hellyer County Park Velodrome in San Jose, California, a velodrome which is
about 333 meters.
Registration: No pre-registration. Entry fee is $10, which includes $4 USA
Cycling surcharge. Registration opens at 1:00 pm and closes at 1:45 pm. All
riders must complete a USA Cycling release signed by a parent or legal guardian,
and have completed a 2019 Hellyer County Park release. Riders can use
velodrome numbers or will be issued numbers. Held under USA Cycling race
permit. USA Cycling license required, annual and single-day licenses will be
available at Registration (Single-day licenses for Category 5 riders only). Santa
Clara County Parks charges a parking fee.
Prizes: Prizes will be points towards the 2019 Hellyer Junior Challenge Junior
Points Series, and T-shirts.
